Membership Preventative Maintenance
From your equipment and plumbing to your filter, pump, and control systems, our certified technicians meticulously check and optimize each component.
Inspections Include:
Equipment Area/Plumbing
- Inspect equipment area to ensure no equipment is sinking or off balance
- Inspect plumbing to ensure no leaks and all valves are in appropriate
positions - Ensure proper voltage/amps for the electrical equipment
- Ensure proper grounding (Bond Wire) is intact and in place for all equipment
Filter
- Inspect cartridge filters and exterior of sand and DE filters.
- Inspect pressure gauge to ensure it is running properly and showing ideal PSI
- Inspect ARV (Air Release Valve) to ensure it is working properly
- Inspect o-ring to ensure it is in good shape; add lubricant if needed
- Inspect filter plugs to ensure they are working properly with no leaks
- Restart the pool and ensure the filter is not leaking and working properly
Pump
- Inspect and clean pump basket
- Inspect plugs, fittings, and mechanical seals to ensure they are not leaking
- Inspect breaker, switches and time clocks to ensure motor is running properly
- Inspect bearings to make sure they are in proper working condition
- Inspect valves to ensure there are no flow restrictions to pump
- Inspect lid and lid o-ring, lube if necessary
- Confirm pump primes fully with no air intrusion
- Controller/Time Clock
- Ensure date and time are correct
- Ensure pump schedules are set appropriately
- Ensure any schedules (Filter, Pump, Water Features, Salt System, Heater,
etc.) are set appropriately - Ensure shock protector is secured on intermatic timers
Sanitization Systems
- Inspect UV lighting systems
- Inspect salt cell/chlorinator to ensure it is producing chlorine
- Ensure probes inside salt cell are intact and not bent/missing
- Calibrate salt system (if needed)
Gas Heater
- Perform ignitor test
- Check incoming gas pressure
- Check gas offset pressure
- Perform heat transfer test
- Check exhaust temperature
- Check gas line for leaks
- Inspect internal water flow
- Check for functionality bypass
- Observe heater in normal operations for at least 5 minutes
Heat Pump
- Test system operations
- Test components to ensure proper rating
- Test all safety switches
- Test amp draw on units
- Inspect the cleanliness of the coils
Miscellaneous Equipment
- Inspect skimmer baskets to ensure none are broken allowing debris into the plumbing
- Inspect skimmer weir doors to ensure they are not getting stuck
- Inspect main drain/wall returns/suction outlets to ensure they are attached properly
- Inspect floorheads to ensure they are cycling properly
- Inspect Auto-Water Fill to ensure it is working properly
- Inspect low voltage wiring to ensure there are no breaks or damage
- Inspect lights to ensure they are working properly
